This unique tour of Speyside opens up a whole world of magical tastes, sights and sounds by combining three of the best visitor attractions the area has to offer. You'll take a scenic train trip from Keith to Dufftown before visiting the famous Glenfiddich whisky distillery for a tour and tasting. We then return to the station for a scrumptious afternoon tea of sandwiches, cakes and tea/coffee.
Begin your day in Keith Town railway station at 11:50, where you'll be met by your tour guide. You'll already be familar with him because he will have called you beforehand to introduce himself. He stays with the group all day, and so will be on hand to cater for your needs. You'll be presented with a complementary guide book to the railway on arrival.
Your scenic rail trip takes 50 minutes in a lovingly maintained scenic railcar which is perfect for gazing from at the glorious forrests, rivers, distilleries and a mile long loch that is right beside the line. On arrival at Dufftown, we take the short walk to the Glenfiddich distillery. This world-renown distillery offers you a one and a half hour tour during which you will visit the Visitor Centre, Mash House, Still House, Warehouses 8 & 1 and the Dramming Centre. Your tour of the distillery concludes by tasting four whiskies.
Returning to the railway station, we take afternoon tea in the superbly restored 'Spirit of Dufftown' railway carriage. Cakes, sandwiches and tea/coffee are included so you may end the tour with a luxury taste in the mouth.
After our trip back to Keith Town aboard our scenic railcar, we bid farewell for now, hoping to see you soon.
